Job Description: Patient Service Technician

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Patient Service Technician to work at either a Patient Service Center or a Client Office. In this role, you will be the face of the company, providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and contributing to Labcorp's mission of improving health outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screenings, paternity, and alcohol tests
• Accurately input patient data in a timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as needed
• Prepare collected specimens for lab testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen documentation logs
• Deliver exceptional customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
• Travel to additional sites as required

Job Requirements

• Must hold a valid Phlebotomy License , or have a filed application with the California Department of Health at time of hire
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently or within a team
• Comfortable with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record (if applicable)
• Flexible to work overtime as needed
• Must be able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Note: Rotating weekends (Saturday/Sunday) may be required
