Job Description: Phlebotomy Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join our team in a Patient Service Center or client office setting. This position involves performing skilled specimen collection, offering superior customer service, and serving as the face of Labcorp to our patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screenings, paternity tests, alcohol testing, etc.
• Enter patient data accurately and promptly
• Handle billing and collect payments as needed
• Prepare and process specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient records and specimen tracking logs
• Provide top-tier customer service to all patients
• Perform general administrative and clerical duties
• Travel to additional sites when necessary

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency (preferred)
• Previous experience as a phlebotomist
• Proven record of providing exceptional customer service
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Comfortable with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record (if applicable)
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test

Incentive Opportunity: Phlebotomist Service Technicians (PSTs) may be eligible for quarterly performance bonuses through the PST Incentive Plan .

Work Schedule

• Days: Monday - Friday
• Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
