Job Description: Clinical Phlebotomist

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Clinical Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center or Client office. You'll serve as the face of Labcorp by delivering exceptional customer service and performing high-quality specimen collections. This role also offers continued growth opportunities within the organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques across all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screenings, paternity testing, alcohol testing, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately and efficiently
• Handle billing processes and collect payments when applicable
• Prepare specimens for testing and lab analysis
• Maintain accurate logs of patients and specimens
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
• Travel to additional sites as necessary

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited program, or previous experience as a phlebotomist
• Must pass a standardized color blindness test

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Labcorp experience

Candidate Expectations

• Strong track record of exceptional customer service
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Comfortable with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record (if applicable)
• Willingness to work overtime as needed

Work Schedule

• Hours: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 7:30 PM
• Weekends: Every 3rd weekend
